Alam Batu resort sits in the north shore of Bali, nestled below the stunning Mt. Agung looking out over the open Bali Sea. Built in 2004 by renowned underwater photographer Doris Vierkötter, Alam Batu stands apart from other dive resorts in Bali both in location, philosophy and experience. When we lived in Bali, Alam batu was our go-to spot for a weekend diving getaway. The resort sits more to the west than other Tulamben area resorts yet retains immediate access to all the same dive spots with the added benefit of dive sites that other resorts cannot reach! As the resort is built around a rocky peninsula that juts dramatically into the Bali Sea it has a vibrant house reef complete with muck diving, soft corals and walls.
For the 2018 Babes in Bali trip, Alam Batu constructed a brand new Camera Room that can accommodate large photo groups.
With a stunning location, spacious dive and camera facilities, friendly local staff (most come from the nearby village and have been with Doris since 2004), a luxurious spa and some of the best food in Bali, Alam Batu is the best choice for Bali diving.
