Join us and Dr. Roger Hanlon for a special 9 night trip to our old home of Lembeh Resort in Lembeh Strait, Indonesia. In addition to a regular dive schedule with the amazingly talented dive guides, we will be treated to a variety of informational sessions with the premiere cephalopod researcher in the world, Dr. Roger Hanlon. Dr. Hanlon is a Senior Scientist at the University of Chicago Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. The Hanlon Lab is dedicated to the study of camouflage in animals. You can read more about the lab here and more about Dr. Hanlon here.
Dr. Hanlon and his assistant will be brining with them the Hyper Spectral Imager (HSI), a specialized camera that can capture an incredible 16 colors per pixel (as opposed to the 3 that all our cameras capture). We will all be on the lookout for cephalopods or other animals exhibiting active camouflage for them to film.
